Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Several Vehicles
On 104 Highway, Near Stellarton
The collision occurred on Highway 104, between exits 24 and 25, on November 13th at approximately 6:50 p.m., to which RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS responded, finding that a pedestrian walking in the westbound lane had been struck by several vehicles.
The pedestrian involved, a 45-year-old male resident of southwest Nova Scotia, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Currently, there is no indication of criminal involvement. The investigation is proceeding.
A collision reconstructionist from the RCMP was present at the scene. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is participating in the investigation.
The Pictou County District RCMP is seeking assistance from witnesses who have not yet come forward and individuals with dashcam footage of Highway 104 in the Stellarton area from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 13th to contact them at 902-755-4141.
Highway 104 was closed for several hours but has since reopened. The RCMP offered these words of condolence: "Our thoughts are with the man's loved ones at this difficult time."
